Thailand – December 2009

It was time for that year end trip again, this time we went to Thailand. Flying into Bangkok, we made out way up to the Central Plains and visited Sukhothai (the capital of ancient Thailand) then up into the far northern highlands of Mae Hong Song.

It’s been more than 4 years since I’ve visited Shanghai. I remember the last time I went I had only just started my career as a full time photographer. I also remember vividly that I hardly took a single photograph while I was in Shanghai City itself, something about the city just didn’t click with me “photographically”.

I got very bored being stuck at home so last week I made it a point to find time to take my trusty Yashicamat 124G for a spin. I ended up heading to the Old Seletar Camp, half of which was being torn down for future developments.

A friend of mine suggested we go to the last remaining kampong in Singapore’s mainland. Unfortunately when we were there neither the timing nor was the “architecture” was suitable. I suggested we head down to the Yishun “Causeway” instead.
